DOOM WAD

You will need the registered version of Ultimate Doom to play this level.  The shareware version (Doom 95)  will not allow you to play custom maps.

DESTRUCTIONS:

Download the file Pkgrmx1.zip and save it to your desktop so you can find it again.

Unzip the thing (onto your  desktop or anywhere, it doesn't really matter, just remember where you unzip it  so you can find it again later).

You'll get a file called Pkgrmx1.wad.  You can delete the .zip file now, if you want to.

Start Ultimate Doom.

On the windows type screen that pops up, the one asking you for Type of Game or Connection, Map Level, Skill Level, etc. Choose Single Player Game, Episode 1 "Hanger", whatever skill level you want (I don't think it matters) then click the Browse button next to where it says Custom WAD File, browse to where ever you unzipped Pkgrmx1.wad and select it.  Finally, click the New Game button to start a new game using the custom map.

You should find yourself in the Packing Room of 1998, complete with Led Zep blasting in the background and a few trogs in yellow raingear to blow away.

HALF LIFE MOD

This is custom game for Half Life based on a fish factory in Alaska

Stuff about the levels:

This game is a work in progress.  Currently the only finished area is the back end of Cold Storage:  Van Dock, Packing Room, Box Loft, Holding 3, Holding 4 and Holding 5.  The rest of the plant is just boxed in.

The doors in the Packing Room and to Holding 5 are activated by pulling a rope hanging from the ceiling in front of the door.  Just stand near the rope and press the 'Use' button (usually the 'E' key)

Destroying red valves in the freezer will cause armed troops to arrive on the scene.  They will kill you if they get the chance.

The AI on the scientists will mess up if you leave the level and then come back.  So when you start the game walk towards the well lit van dock and not down the dark alley.

There is a spatial discrepancy in the hallway of the downstairs freezer, don't let it freek you.

DESTRUCTIONS:

You will need version 1.1.1.0 of Half Life to run this add-on.  If you are still using version 1.1.0.9 you can upgrade using this Half Life Update program.  For more information about Half Life, updates, patches, mods, skins, maps, etc. etc. visit Planet Half Life.

Download the file PFI.zip and save it to your desktop so you can find it again later.

Unzip the thing.  You'll get a folder called PFI full of stuff.

Put the PFI folder inside your Half-Life folder.  The directory structure will probably look something like:  C:Sierra\Half-Life\PFI.

Delete the .zip file, if you want, we're done with it.

Run Half-Life.

Select Custom Game.  The game may notify you that it has located a new game and ask  if you want to install it, otherwise select and Install PFI from the list of custom games.

Select PFI and and click on Activate.

Click Done.

Start a new game.

Select a Skill Level (doesn't really matter which one)

You should find yourself standing in the alley facing the Van Dock and hearing the faint voice of your HEV suit powering up.
