Solstice Chapter 14

I...

Was...

En...

RAGED!!!

My wolves were nonplused, alert to my rage but sensing no enemy.  My ravens had no answers....

I was Furious!  HOW DARE SHE!?  This was MY domain.  Iwas the center of attraction here.  I was the one everyone was 'oohing' and 'awing' over.  I was the one everyone was fussing over.  I was the one everyone was honoring.

She was NOT.

She was doing what she pleased.

Where She pleased.

When She pleased.

My WILL over her was Nil *laughs*

My Will over Me, however, was Not.

The other guests and attendants, spectators and healers,  all faded away as I LEAPED at the Goddess of the Past!!

She didn't flinch.  She simply stood there as all the scenarios melded into One, her eyes swirling, focusing into a single pair of pale blue eternity which gazed at me unblinkingly.

I flew off my bed/platform/dais/chair.

And as I flew through space I Aged....

A century a second washed over me. Like some wild, fast animation movie, my nails grew inches, curling, yellowing... My hair sprouted a foot; coarse, wiry, gray locks... My blood turned thick, sludge, mud, dried... My flesh shriveled, grew taught, hardened into leather, stretched and pulled across fragile bones... bones cracked, broke, splintering and shattering into dust...

And I melted into a cloud of dust, floating upon the winds, towards a pair of Eternal Eyes...
