Solstice Chapter 13

As the Army of females attended to my wounds I noticed that there was One who stood back from the others...

There was One spectator in the crowd who wasn't cheering me on...

One Attendant who simply stood to the side of the dais, Watching me...

There was One person sitting at the banquet table I did not recognize...

She was by no means a Child, but not yet a Woman, either.  As the spectator she had rusty blonde hair streaked with red fire, framing steel blue eyes... as the attendant she had long, coiled, sandy blonde braids and warm sea blue eyes... at the banquet table her golden hair was cropped short and her sky blue eyes shone with a light of their own... as my healer, her hair was a bright saffron flowing all the way down to her ankles, icy blue eyes peering at me...

And always those eyes were Judging me... Testing me...

Then, in a flash, I recognized her.  It was the youngest of the three Norns, Goddess of the Past, and she was...

    What WAS she doing there??
