THUNDER

Lightning flashes across the sky
Glimpsed by the one who held my eye
For three years it seemed
She passed through my dreams
But now she is here by my side.

And then as the sky rips apart
We find we are both of one heart
As we skip and prance
In the rain we dance
To a tune that is far from dark

And then there is a pouring rain
Drenching us both, ending my pain
As she chats with me
Her eyes flash with glee
Thunder will never seem the same
