wow, buncha stuff...where to begin...

The Icicle plant in Homer burnt to the ground.  A maintenance guy got
zapped with ammonia pretty good, and needless to say it fucked up the
town pretty bad, but to my knowledge there where NO fatalities.  *sigh*
Also to my knowledge neither Icicle nor any gov'ment agencies have
released a statement regarding who what where when and why, *shrug*

Not entirely sure how that will effect us down here...product that would
have gone there will now go to the Seward plant,  I foresee some
personnel from that plant relocating to here, we need people...Icicle
will get some insurance money I'm sure...The town of Homer is
screwed...jeezus, an industrial fire?  The ammonia from the freezers is
bad enough, not to mention all that crap that goes into making up a
factory in the first place...
 

*sigh*

NEXT

Scott, cold storage (our) boss, is taking off next week for a job
interview down in Washington.  Also next week Al is taking off to
Ketchikan to take his cdl (driving) test for his new job. *grins*

I think Als move is a good one, he deserves a life, ya know?  *sigh* the
lucky bastard *giggle*  Scott too, for that matter...Not sure I'd wanna
live in Washington though, ya know? *shrug*

Bristol Bay Soki is a Bust, so far anyway...*shrug* it was bad last year
too...gillnetters ain't doin' all that great either *laughs*

Do I seem callous?  *giggles* naaaww, Every year it's SOMETHING, ya
know?  We run out of water, the fishermen go on strike, there are no
fish, there are too many fish, we have no boxes, the power goes
out,...SOMETHING.

And people Panic.  *laughs*

And today I check me mail and find a letter from Rob that just drops my
jaw in the dirt.  What A Write Up!  Fans, *snicker* gotta love 'em.

See, I don't know Rob from Adam.  Only reason I got his addy at all is
that some third person thought it would be groovy if we hooked up,
*shrug* and other than dumpin off me junk mail on the poor dude we've
never chatted much at all, a few notes here and there, tha's about it.

That, and having a Total Stranger hit me up in chat room all ga ga over
my still unfinished short story (soon to be an unfinished novella, look
for it in a shopping center near you!*grin*)

Fans, *shudders*, never thought of that, ya know?
