Lazy Feed 12
Happy summer solstice.

Most of you don't even know what that is, huh?  You have a digital watch, that tells the time, end of story.

Today is one of those days where every living thing on the planet except humans Knows what time it is.

Salmon know.

A fish with the brain the size of a millet seed KNOWS that today is the first day of summer for those of us north of the equator...

A Fish...

with No digital watch...

KNOWS.

Take away their digital watch and nine out of ten New Yorkers wouldn't have a Clue what time it was...

It's sad when highly civilized, highly educated, highly intelligent Human Beings forget how to put a stick in the ground and understand the full meaning of the shadow it casts...

stick... ground... shadow...

pretty basic stuff, no programing required, and yet...

This is one of those days of the year that helps to remind me that everything is in a constant state of flux, and that Everything is Subject To Change.

I'm not quick to embrace Change, but embrace I do (even when it hurts)

Change is Good.

From what I hear, immortality consists mainly of boredom.

A little ditty to help usher in the new season:
